Hello,

I'm currently using an evaluation version of Mezzmo and I noticed that it doesn't recognized my avi movies, only mp4s.
How can I play avi divx or xvid movies in Mezzmo?

Thank you,

Paul

We will need some more information from you to determine the possible reason for your problem:

What DLNA device are you streaming to (include model number)?
What device profile is assigned to your device in Mezzmo? Go to the Media Devices dialog in Mezzmo to see this.
What is the FFmpeg information on one of the AVI files that are not listed? Right-click on the AVI file in Mezzmo and click ' Get FFMpeg Information' to get this.

Hello, sorry to hijack but I'm having the exact same problem. I have 100's of avi's and none of them play in Mezzmo to my TV. Otherwise product working great, had to switch form another sefver proggy that stopped working.

I am streaming to Samsung 55C-6300 using Samsung C profile. I just picked one .avi for the FFmpeg info, I can see them all in the menu but also get the not supported format error?

Can you try the 'Samsung D' device profile? Go to Media Devices dialog to change the device profile. Let us know if that works better.

If no better, then please turn on logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Stream the AVI file to your TV and when it fails to play, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and send them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

Hi Conceiva support,

I am streaming to a Panasonic TCP50S30 and the Panasonic (2011 models) profile.
Also, lately, it takes a very long time for Mezzmo to appear on the list of my DLNA servers (I'm using only one and uninstalled all of the Windows 7 media features.

It's not that my avi files are not listed, they are listed but no media art is showing and when I click on them I get cannot read file.

Also, I think that that version 2.6.3.0 is a bit buggy. Sometimes instead of the list of movies, I get a screen that shows no movies, but I can scroll up or down and the bars would move along. When I click Select on my remote, it says cannot read file.

Where can I download older versions from?

Thank you,

Ross

Yes the Samsung D profile seemed to do the trick, thanks! Will be buying. Is the cost lifetime or per annum?

Thanks for letting us know. Glad you are up and running now.

When you purchase Mezzmo, you own your license for life. Minor updates and bug fixes are free. Major new versions may be charged on a case-by-case basis, but to date we have not charged for any major new version.

Hi Paul,

I'm the guy with the Panasonic TV, what profile should I use to make avi's work with Mezzmo?
Also, any idea where can I get an older version, like 2.6.2.0?
Are you still waiting for the ffmpeg info? I'll get it for you leter this evening when I get home.

Thank you,

Paul

Sorry, ariel01 - I missed your post yesterday. It's best you send us a set of logs and we'll work out why it's taking so long to display Mezzmo server on your TV, why artwork is not listed for your files and why some AVI files don't play.

Please turn on logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Turn off your TV and then turn it on again. On your TV, list your media servers and connect to Mezzmo. Try to browse some video playlists/folders that have AVI files to reproduce the no artwork problem. Then, try to play an AVI and when it fails, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and send them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

Hi Paul,

I sent the Mezzmo logs to support@conceiva.com addressed to you. I also included the ffmpeg information for the AVI file I tried to play. Please get back to me as soon as you can with anything you might have.

Thank you,
Arie
