I have a few movies that can be played directly on the TV using a USB stick (mp4 format, under 2GB), but Mezzmo doesn't seem to want to play them without transcoding. Is there any workaround? My laptop is not the best and I cannot transcode on the fly, 2GB files take over 6 hours to complete but they play fine once done.
I've just found the "use original file" button in the properties dialog but anything I try to play using this is very choppy and unwatchable, even though the files are the same size before and after transcoding. Is there something else transcoding does to the file that I am not understanding?
I'm OK with the whole process, just wondering if there was a quicker way around it for future files.

TLDR: Why can I not play files obviously compatible with my Panasonic Viera 2011 over Mezzmo without transcoding?

Even though a video file plays via your USB stick, it does not necessarily mean your TV can also play it via DLNA streaming. We have seen many devices have different format support for DLNA when compared to playing directly via USB.

Your video may be choppy (stuttering) due to bandwidth issues. If the video has a high bitrate, and you are streaming via wireless, then your home network may not be able to cope with sending the video information fast enough - so you get stuttering. If you have wireless-N with full signal strength, then it should be OK.

Please send us the FFMpeg information on one of the files that does not play. To do this, right-click on the file in Mezzmo and click 'Get Ffmpeg Information'. Also tell us more about your home network setup (e.g. ethernet cables, wireless-N, etc.) and your PC spec (e.g. CPU and RAM). And, let us know what device profile is assigned to your TV in Mezzmo. Go to the Media Devices dialog to see this.
