Hello,

Mezzmo has been fine on my Sony BDP-S580 until this most recent update. Now the server won't even start on the device. Xbox360 and other devices are OK with this new update.

I can't even load the Mezzmo server on it. I've tried everything. I've been in IT for over a decade and I can't figure this out.
I've tried a new IP, DNS settings, uninstall / reinstall, rename server, new profiles, everything I could think of.

Is there anything I can do?

Can you guys patch this?

Thanks,
TSF

Hi TSF,

It's best you send us a set of logs so we can see what's going wrong. First step, make sure you are running Mezzmo v2.6.7 (check Help -> About dialog). Next, go to the Media Devices dialog and delete all devices listed there. Restart your Mezzmo server and you should see your devices re-listed. Make sure your Sony BDP is using the 'Sony BDP, HT, SMP' device profile. Now try connecting & streaming some files to your Sony BDP using Mezzmo. If any problems, turn on logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server again. Connect to Mezzmo again and try to stream some files as before. When connecting or browsing or streaming files fail, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and send them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

Hey TSF on your sony move to the left and highlight Network settings. Click OK. Scroll down to Connection Server. It will list all of the devices the Sony sees. (Note you can hide some here if you wish). Push the Options button and select Clear list. Then in Options select Test and it will rediscover all of your devices. Many time Mezzmo is shown as a new device when the version changes.

Mezzmo has been fine on my Sony BDP-S380 until this most recent update. Now the server won't even start on the device.

Just out of curiosity, did the BDP-S380 receive a firmware update that enabled DLNA support? Every review/description I've read states that it lacks DLNA support.

I've been using Mezzmo on this BDP for months, it worked fine before this update. I think I have the right model number, but regardless, the most recent Mezzmo update is the only variable in my setup. I can confirm this.

Thanks,
TSF

I apologize.

BDP 580.

Way better device, I used to have the 380.

Repeat: BDP580 fails to load Mezzmo now post-update.

Thank you.

Hi thescarletfire,

Did you delete all devices in the Media devices dialog and restart your Mezzmo server? If that did not help, did you send through logs to us? After we see them, we may be able to find the problem you are having & get you back up and running.
