View Full Version : A couple of ideas for filtering options in playlists

As I've spent time messing with my playlists and filters to customise everything, I've noticed an area which would make Mezzmo even more powerful.
When creating (smart) playlists it would be great if you could enter multiple items per line. For example [title], [begins with] [a, b, c]. This would list all files that begin with [a], [b] or [c] in the one line instead of having to create 3 lines for the same result.
Another benefit of this is that you could have the "logical AND' option to [match all] of the conditions combined with the "logical OR" on each line.

An example of what I mean ...

...[Playlist name: 0-9]

...[match ALL of the following rules]
......[title] [starts with] [0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9]
......[file path] [contains] [\movies]


Maybe you could make it so we enter the commands like when you search with Google. Eg. using AND, OR, +, -, etc.
In this case, you could have something like ...

...[title] [contains] [inspector -gadget]

I hope this makes sense. At present this is impossible to do as far as I can tell.
