If I have Mezzmo rip an audio cd, it will not play the MP3 files it creates. they can however be played using an alternative player such as Jetaudio or Windows media player. I have set Mezzo as the default player and it still will not play these files.

Also when ripping CD's there is a drop down box labelled 'Save Format' but there is only one selection to choose from i.e MP3. Can Mezzmo rip cd's to other formats such as WAV.

Hi gjbth,

We have many problems with playing files in Mezzmo's internal media player. All users have different sets of codecs installed on their computer and the results vary enormously. We have decided to concentrate our efforts on Mezzmo on being the best possible media server (and not a player). So, in the upcoming version of Mezzmo, you will not longer see the player mode at the bottom of Mezzmo. You can still play files - if you right-click on a file and click the Play menu item, they will be played in your default music/video player installed on your computer. We feel this is a much better solution. The new version of Mezzmo will be released shortly, so for the moment please ignore the playing issue.

At this stage, we only rip audio CDs to MP3 files. We may look at other formats in future versions.

Best regards,

Paul.

Thanks for the reply Paul, I switch back to my usual media player while I wait for the new version.

I would be nice to have the option to rip CD's to WAV format, I can do this now with another software, but it does not include the cover art and lyricsa as Mezzmo does.
