Hi,

I know you cant give exact dates but i think its been delayed by around a year so i thought i would ask if you could give us a rough time frame on when mezzmo will be updated to 3.0?

Thanks for your patience. I know it has been a long time coming. We are confident that it will be released before the end of this year (2012!). The new features (subtitling, URL streaming and some others yet to be announced) are looking great in our v3.0 development versions.

Any chance that there will be an Android and iOS client. PowerDVD has a both a "Remote" and "Client" (DLNA). Remote allows remote control of the PowerDVD interface and provides media controls just like a regular remote. The Client (DLNA) bascilly is an extention of PowerDVD installed on a Widnows computer.

Thanks,
Niles

Android and iOS apps are certainly in our plans. Thanks for the suggestion.

Just fixing a few important issues reported by some Beta testers. Once these are fixed and tested, we're ready to release. I expect to release early next week.

Like the rest of us, I am anxiously anticipating the roll out of Mezzmo @V3dot0 and I know it has been delayed alot for many reasons.
But please tell the rest of your crew that there is NO such thing as perfection in software releases >> NONE what-so-ever!
It just don't exist in the software realm but each week of delay allows it to come nearer to be called "VAPORware" >> and we have seen a whole lot of those in the passed few decades.

I do have a few rudimentary requests when it does finally get released that may be very relevant.
Request#1: the downloadable package should be named such that a user readily can determine the version number strictly from the downloaded package name itself.
Request#2: please make sure that the meta data of the downloadable package contains details of the package itself.
Request#3: package should also contain a simple text (.nfo?) file describing the changes included.
Versioning of sw is a tricky business and it would keep us all sane if standard practices are followed.

But what do I know? I am just a hardware engineer and yes perfection is easier to come by in the hardware realm!:o

Best of Luck!

Some sage advice, RandyO :) We'll keep this in mind for our releases.
