viewing problem

Hi i have just installed a trial version of Mezzmo, as want to stream from my laptop theu my blu-ray player so i can watch stuff from my laptop on my tv.

The issue i have is, just tried with a file, and the picture keeps pausing and resuming, like it's buffering i guess - any help?

Stuttering can be caused by a few things:


If you are streaming a HD video, then your home network will need to be able to deliver the high bitrate of the video across your home network to your DLNA device - otherwise you can get stuttering. We recommend using Ethernet cables where possible for your home network since this is the fastest and most stable network setup. If you have wireless, then wireless N with full signal strength can also work.
If you are steaming a file that cannot be played natively on your Blu-ray player, then Mezzmo will transcode it on-the-fly for you so it can be played. If your computer cannot transcode (convert) the file quick enough, then this can cause stuttering. When you stream the file and it stutters, go to Mezzmo and click on the Transcoding pane. If you see your file listed in the Transcoding pane and it is listed in red color, then this tells you that your computer's CPU & memory is not powerful enough to transcode this file on-the-fly for realtime streaming. A workaround for this is to pre-transcode the file before streaming it. Right-click on the file in Mezzmo and click 'Pre-transcode Files' to pre-transcode a file. Once it has been transcoded, then try streaming it again.
If the file has a high bitrate, then your DLNA device's firmware may struggle to to decode and play it smoothly, and this can also cause stuttering.

What is the device model for your Blu-ray player?
What is the device profile assigned to your device in Mezzmo? Go to the Media Devices dialog to see this.
What is the FFmpeg information on the file you are streaming? Right-click on the file in Mezzmo and click 'Get FFmpeg Information'.
