This product looks perfect for what I need subject to one feature. :-)

Currently I use Media Browser so have all my metadata stored in movies.xml - which this reads yay!

Now I have a new Oppo 105 as am movingaway form my HTPC - I want a way to read my metadata on my ipad / iphone then to be able to push my selected movie to the Renderer (the oppo 105).

Any idea if I can do this now - or if this feature is coming soon?

Cheers

Stuart

Hi Stuart,

Mezzmo is a digital media server (DMS) and it streams your media files to digital media renderers (DMR) or digital media players (DMP) on your home network. What you are after is a digital media controller (DMC) application that you can install on your iPad/iPhone so you can browse playlists, folders and files from Mezzmo server and then push/stream them to your Oppo. We don't have this DMC app as yet, but we have plans to create one for iOS and Android devices. For the moment, you can go to iOS's Appstore or Android's GooglePlay to find suitable apps that have DMC features.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the quick answer - the trouble is nothing out there currently will read the meta data, which really limits things. Any idea of time frames for your IOS control app?

Cheers

Hi Stuart,

Our iOS/Android Mezzmo remote control apps will certainly display all metadata to make it easy and convenient for browsing and selecting your media files. We don't have a firm date on its release but it is planned for 2013.

Thanks Paul,

Another thought I had is that a proper DNLA Controller actually is nto a good solution as it means that the ipad / iphone needs to stay on to control things (playlists etc) where as a remote control app means that it just tells the server what to do can switch off.

If you need a beta tester - happy to help, in the meantime the only thing I can fins is jriver but I had the way it handles meta data.

Cheers

Hi Guys and Concevia.

Just updated to latest version of mezzmo. Excellent.
I notice it now has Denon AVR support, great I have a Denon.

However I would like to control Mezzmo while moving around away from PC. Wondered how far away a IOS app is?
And if there is any other alternative in the mean time.

Awesome work guys Love the Product.

Glad you like Mezzmo & I hope the new version works out well for you.

Mezzmo Controller apps are not too far away - we're working on them right at the moment :) In the meantime, take a look at this post for our current iOS/Android recommendations - http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/5977-Tutorial-Subtitling-Basics?p=23230#post23230
