View Full Version : Can't Stream Network Files

I'm trying to use Mezzmo to stream video files located on computers in my home network. As a test, I have set up Mezzmo to retrieve files from a local drive, and a networked drive. Note, there is no login or password associated with the networked drive.

Mezzmo correctly displays video files for both drives. However, when viewing on my Samsung TV or WDTV Live device, I can only see and play video files located on Mezzmo's local drive. The folder for the networked drive appears empty. I can see the networked files in the "All Videos" playlist. But, when I attempt to play the file, I get a "codec not supported" error.

I have read "FAQ: Accessing files from external computers and NAS drives on your home network". But, there are no passwords or usernames associated with the networked drives.

Any help is appreciated.

I just replied to your email. Thanks for the logs. They show that Mezzmo server was not able to access folders on your network drive(s). So, you will have to allow access using the tips in this FAQ - http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/4597-FAQ-Accessing-files-from-external-computers-and-NAS-drives-on-your-home-network

Got it working. I just didn't read the faq carefully enough.
