Hello! :)
I use as DLNA client device a nokia lumia 800 (Windows phone 7.5) with onePlayer app installed, i choose as device profile evopro Kft onePlayer

The problem I have concerns the speed of video playback. Usually the behavior is:
-I launch any video from onePlayer app of my Lumia 800, choosing the only profile available (asf wmv)
- The pre-transcoding starts on Mezzmo server, which takes about ten minutes
- File starts playing, and the audio is normal.
The problem is in the video, which at times is fluid, but overall freezes and is jerky, making the viewing annoying; the video is always played until the end and I can move in the timeline of the video without problems. I tried to select in device configuration the option to transcode faster with loss of video quality but has not changed the behaviour.
I also tried to use the profile for windows phone 7 device in device profile list but the application crashes on any video.
I exclude problems of connection bandwidth, since the same configuration using other DLNA servers guaranteed video with good playback. It's not a specific video file problem because it happens with all videos.
I would like to switch to Mezzmo for all the features that has in respect to competing programs.
Still have i something wrong in configuration ? is there a way I can fix this? A patch? Thank you! :D

Hi,
try going to 'Media Devices' in Mezzmo and double-click on your device in the list, change the 'Connection' type to match your network connection to the phone (Wireless G, Wireless N, etc) and then on the Performance tab try reducing the maximum video size and this may provide smoother streaming.

i tried to change connection type in the list, then I clicked accept, but when I view configuration again, then the connection is gigabit and not what I chose...how can I fix this ? Thanks

Ok i resolved deleting all the previously pretranscoded files, then pretranscoding files again reducing resolution to the device resolution. Now playback is ok :)
Only one more question: why are the files all pretranscoded ? If I choose a file from device the pretranscoding automatically start. If I use Xbox 360 instead of lumia phone the transcoding is on the fly.
Thank you for the attention

When you choose a file from the device, if the file needs to be transcoded then Mezzmo media server will begin transcoding the file as it is being delivered. Some files need to be pre-transcoded because they are transcoded too slowly to be transcoded on the fly while the file is being played.

sorry another question...when i use the phone as a remote control, for example i decide to play a file from server to xbox 360 through the phone app, the file is transcoded using phone profile instead of xbox 360 profile. Is this correct ? Is there a way to avoid transcoding when the xbox 360 and the file to be played are compatible ? I say an automated solution, different from changing the phone profile to match the destination xbox 360 profile, when phone is used as remote control
Thanks

Hi sigfrid,

You should change the device profile to match the device you are streaming to. Go to the Media Devices dialog in Mezzmo and edit the device that is listed for your phone/remote control app. Change the device profile to 'Microsoft Xbox 360' and now Mezzmo will deliver files as if you are streaming directly to your Xbox 360.
