Conceiva,

What does the Panasonic Viera (2011 models), DTS device profile provide for? I typically use the Panasonic Viera (2011 models) device profile because I have found using AC3 5.1 audio works well with my system. But my audio receiver,a Sony STR-DE985, can also decode DTS 5.1. Will this Mezzmo device profile allow for the decoding of DTS 5.1 audio?

Regards,

James Kidwell

Hi James,

Please post the FFmpeg information on one of the video files containing DTS audio and we'll recommend the most appropriate device profile. Right-click on the video in Mezzmo and click 'Get FFmpeg Information'.

I was curious about this myself. What is the newly added DTS to these profiles?

The 'Panasonic Viera (2011 models), DTS' device profile allows DTS audio channels in MKV files to be streamed natively to your TV. Some Panasonic Viera TV owners have found that this video format combination is supported for their particular models. You can try it and, if it works, then continue to use it. If it does not work, then go back to the 'Panasonic Viera (2011 models)' device profile.
