View Full Version : Audio out of sync with video when using Mezzmo

I previously had this problem with v2.7.

It seems to remain with v3.0.

Same equipment setup as I've previously described on an older thread with the same title.

Right from the very beginning of the movie, the video and voice are out of sync when I play through Mezzmo.

When I play through a USB drive attached to the TV the video and voice are in sync.

We believe we have fixed this audio sync problem for Sony Bravia TVs in Mezzmo v3.0. Other Sony Bravia TV owners have reported to us that it is fixed.

Check the following: Go to the Media Devices dialog and edit your Sony Bravia TV device. Make sure you are using the 'Sony Bravia KDL (2010 models)' device profile. Next, go to the Transcoding tab in this dialog and delete all your transcoded files. Try streaming now.

If it is still not working, then we'll need to see a set of logs. Turn on logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Delete your transcoded files as above and then stream the video to your TV. When the audio gets out of sync, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and email them to us.

I have a bit more info. Since I have ISOs - I tried to play a couple through Mezzmo v3 - and they do not exhibit the out-of-sync-ness - that's good news.

Excellent. Thanks for the feedback.

I did some more experimentation because I'm still seeing stuttering and voice-out-of-sync when playing anything but ISO. The first image is of the test conditions. The second is the results. The third section is the ffmpeg info for the ISO.

Will non-ISOs ever be able to be played on my SONY TV without voice sync issues and stuttering?
