Have upgraded to version 3. Unfortunately Media Sever crashes on attempting to Start. Have sent Dump off, but while awaiting assistance is there a location I can download the previous version and re-install?

Hi Johnosnr

I also had a crash dump and got this from the support guys...

We have seen this same crash dump from a couple of other users, it indicates that the DeviceProfiles folder is empty (the update did not copy the files), please look in C:\ProgramData\Conceiva\Mezzmo\DeviceProfiles and check if there are files. if it's empty do a repair install. you can find the setup package under C:\Program Files (x86)\Mezzmo\auTemp or C:\Program Files\Mezzmo\auTemp. You can also download the Mezzmo installer from our website and run it to repair the installation.

Maybe this will help you get going till the guys can respond tomorrow.

Cheers
Mark

Thanks for helping, Mark.

Johnosnr: Please do the following: Make sure your Mezzmo server is stopped and exit Mezzmo application if it is running. Download the Mezzmo installer from http://www.conceiva.com/downloads and run the installer. Choose to do a Repair when prompted by the installer. That should fix your Mezzmo fileset and get you back up and running. Let us know if you still have problems.

Mark & Paul,

Thanks for advice.

Paul, did as suggested. Now have the profile as mentioned by Mark.

Mezzmo runs but attempting to START the media server component is still creating a Dump file.

Therefore still having problems. Should I send the DUMP file?

Hi John,
please send the dump file to support [at] conceiva [dot] com so that we can see why the crash is occuring.

Hi Peter/Paul,

Have sent Dump file. Since doing so read a few other Forum posts and further considered what I had done when upgrading to V3.

When I originally installed I placed Mezzmo on Drive G, then when upgrading changed to C:. This caused a problem with some type of clash between G: & C::. Have just adjusted all references from G: to C: and then an Error 2 was reported. Followed suggested solution for an Error 2.

NOW Media Server appears to be working okay. Will give a thorough testing over the weekend.

PLEASE ignore my email and its attached Dump (though why both Thunderbird and Firefox(webmail) crashed when attempting to attach the Dump file is another problem I'll have to followup elsewhere).

Many thanks for assistance.
