After the obvious mix up of my music library after the 3.0 installation I took a closer look into my music library on 2.7.1.17 and found several issues on the older version too:

Mezzmo mixes up app. 10% of my records. It strangely carries over titles from the last record in the sequence or it repeats the first title for all songs of an album.

In use even records that seem to be recognized properly stop playing occasionally in the midst of a song (profile Yamaha RX3). Can be restarted immediately.

I have a large FLAC database of app. 12.000 files in 1000+ folders tagged with mp3tag 2.54. All metadata and cover art is meticulously stored in the music files. WMP12 and the DLNA server in my Synology Disk Station proof that the tagging is perfect. The equipment is a Yamaha high-end streamer NP2000.

I have ensured that Mezzmo reads metadata and cover art from the file and does not search for metadata/coverart anywhere else. I deleted the entire FLAC music folder and rebuilt it. No improvement.

Tell me what you need for the analysis. I am happy to send you my Mezzmo library files but be aware that the library size is 1.33 GB.

Hi Bernhard,

Thanks for reporting this. Do the same FLAC files get the same wrong metadata each time you add them or maintain them? To test this, right-click on the FLAC folder/playlist in Mezzmo and click Maintain Playlist. In the Maintain Playlist dialog, click the "Update all files" radio button so that all metadata written into the records in your Mezzmo library (i.e. existing metadata will be overwritten). Also, click the Metadata Retrieval Settings button and turn off the three "Get artwork ..." checkboxes in the Music files section. This will limit Mezzmo to just get text metadata from within the FLAC files.

If the same FLAC files get the wrong metadata each time, then please email us one of these FLAC files and we'll analyze it here to see what Mezzmo is doing.
