Hello All,

I have just downloaded and installed the trial version of Mezzmo 3.01 and I am having issues with a DLNA/uPNP client on my android phone.

The system that I've installed Mezzmo on is Win7 Ultimate 64 running ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) connected to the Internet via dialup and Wifi 802.11G local. I find that I need to continually restart the Mezzmo Media Server in order for my mobile Android phones to see it. I have tried several DLNA/uPNP clients on the phone; BubbleuPNP, Skifta and uPNPlay. All have the same issue. Once the clients see Mezzmo there is no problem playing audio or video media. I have the Windows Firewall blocking Public (Internet) inbound traffic to Mezzmo, thus only allowing connections to Mezzmo on my local network.

Are there any solutions to allow the Android clients to continually see Mezzmo on the local network?

Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions.

Regards,

Jan

Hi Jan,

We'll investigate this. To help us. please send us a set of logs. Turn on logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Wait until your Android apps discover Mezzmo (or up to 5-10 minutes if they don't discover Mezzmo) and then stop your Mezzmo server. Zip up all the logs and email them us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.
