View Full Version : Inconsistent Playback to Multiple Consoles

Parallax Abstraction

Hey everyone. I'm a registered Mezzmo user and I'm having a problem since updating to the most recent version that I hope people can help me with. It's inconsistent which is the most frustrating part. So I recently downloaded this video (http://www.giantbomb.com/videos/unprofessional-fridays-03-01-2013/2300-7099/) to my PC to stream to my TV in the basement while I do my daily hour on the treadmill. I have both a PS3 and a 360 and I usually stream through PS3. Previous episodes of this series have played fine, as do several other MP4 formatted videos I have on my PC. I usually try to download the HD version of this video but in this case, the HD version will not play at all on the 360 (says it's not supported) and on the PS3 it plays but I can't fast forward through it (I usually can and want to with this one as I watched part of it elsewhere.) I tried to download it again, no dice. I then tried to download the High version of it instead and in that case, the PS3 won't play it saying the file might have been removed from the server and the 360 does play it. Ideally, I would like to play the HD version however. As I said, this problem only manifested after updating to the latest version of Mezzmo. Can anyone assist? Thanks!

Please let us know a few things:

The device profiles assigned to your PS3 and Xbox. Go to the Media Devices dialog in Mezzmo to see this.
The FFmpeg information on the video(s) that do not play (including the HD version). Right-click on the video(s) and click 'Get FFmpeg Information'.

The PS3 and Xbox both have those respective profiles assigned to them. For reference as well, they are attached to a wireless bridge that doesn't properly pass MAC addresses so it's setup to the IP address mode. Both consoles have static IPs and have worked fine in that mode up to this point.

As for the FFMPEG info, here it is:

Parallax Abstraction

Just for reference, I've tried to play two other videos from Giant Bomb since the ones I posted above and have had the same problems. In addition, when watching one for a while on the PS3, I've noticed batches of artifcating. Basically, it will play for a while, artifacts will begin and get worse over several seconds, then the picture will snap back to clear again. Again, this only began upon upgrading Mezzmo to the latest version.

Any ideas as yet?

Please email us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com and we'll provide a new ffmeg.exe build that may help.

Cool! I shall do that. Thanks Paul!
