Panasonic P42GT30B 3D TV... MKV file plays fine for a second in each scene change?!

Hey there,

I've literally just bought Mezzmo as it's clearly the best solution out there and tried the demo for a while, and it did a great job.

I've kind of struck a problem with a certain mkv file, but don't know what's going on.


I'm on Win8 Pro 64-bit on a Dell XPS Studio 15 i7 with 8gb of RAM.

The MKV file plays sound perfectly, but the video only plays smoothly for the first second or two of each camera view change, and then pauses. (With the sound continuing).

If I try to force a transcode (using the options in bold), the aspect ratio comes out all wrong, and it still does the same as above.


Any help would be awesome!

Oh, and the video plays fine on my laptop... it's only when it's streaming via mezzmo that the issue occurs. I can stream the file through Xbox Media Centre, but there are major issues with Win8 and MC causing the quality of video to be appallingly bad... but still, the Xbox plays the video fine (if at awful quality.)

Please turn on logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Stream the video to your device and when the stuttering start to occur, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

Hi again,

I've had this problem again, but this time on a file that used to work with the first demo I downloaded of mezzmo. Now, I've attached the log files for you. The fix with the above file was to do a full-transcode but when i do that for my TV it encodes it with the wrong aspect ratio. It always comes through stretched on the vertical... so therefore ignores any letterboxing and stretched it to the full screen.

It would be lovely for everything to work as it used to to be honest... at the moment I'm either getting videos that stutter through the TV, can't fast-forward on my Xbox, and stop every 4 minutes when using my windows 8 machine.

I'm thinking about installing an older version to see if that sorts some of my issues out.

Anyway... attached is the log files. This video, again... seems to stop every beginning of each scene, until the next scene pops up. Audio is fine... but what's weirdest is that I watched this film fine when I was using your demo version of Mezzmo around 7 months ago. Not sure what could have broken things or changed... hope you can help me.
