View Full Version : Fast foward no longer works

When streaming MKV files (both those that have been pre-transcoded and those that transcode whilst streaming) to my Sony BDP-S770 blu-ray player, fast-fowarding the movies no longer works.

The total run-time for all MKV movies is now listed as 1 second. MPEG movies still display the total run-time correctly.

The movie will play normally, with the time elapsed displayed correctly. But as soon as I try to fast-forward, the movie stops and goes back to the menu.

This has only just become an issue - I've not had any problems fast-fowarding any file format since I started using Mezzmo a year ago.

I've tried re-installing, changing all types of settings, etc. but nothing seems to work.

Hi jyron,

What device profile are you using in Mezzmo? Go to the Media Devices dialog to see this. And please post the FFmpeg information on one of the MKV files that does not fast forward. To do this, right-click on the video in Mezzmo and click 'Get FFmpeg Information'.

I have a similar issue with certain DVD ISOs (trying to fast forward through the movie either returns to the home screen or moves to the next movie in the folder). Would the patch possibly fix that issue as well? My Sony players are listed in my signature.

Possibly - Mezzmo v3.1 will be released shortly and that contains this updated device profile and several other improvements that may help. It should be released in the next few days.
