Hello,

I've been testing the new version of the program, which is very good.

But something happens, that I wondered if it was possible I can fix this.
When active external subtitles, they appear in the middle of the TV screen, not in the footer.

Is there to change this?

Thanks

Hi,

I had the same issue when burning subtitles. The problem was due to the settings of my transcoding: I didn't use the full resolution of my tv for transcoding (my tv is 1080, my transcoding was 576).
Maybe it helps to change that.

Greetings,

-Blue

Thanks for the suggestion, Blue.

joker_josue: If that does not help, then tell us:

The device profile that is assigned to your device in Mezzmo. Go to the Media Devices dialog to see this.
The FFmpeg information for the video you are streaming. Right-click on the video in Mezzmo and click 'Get FFmpeg Information'.

Blue... thanks for the tip, but I already had it set up correctly. Even tried using other settings, but remained unchanged.

Hi joker_josue,

Any reason you are using the 'Brite-View CinemaTube' device profile for your Seagate FreeAgent Theater+? We have a device profile for the Seagate FreeAgent Theater+ and it should work better. The 'Brite-View CinemaTube' device profile currently is set to only burn subtitles into your video (and not stream external subtitles), whereas the Seagate FreeAgent Theater device profile will stream your SRT directly to you device. This should mean less transcoding and your subtitles should display at the bottom of the screen.

Go to the Media Devices dialog and edit your Seagate device to change your device profile. Also, go to the Transcoding tab in the Device Settings dialog for your Seagate device and delete your transcoded files. Restart your Mezzmo server. Try streaming again and let us know how you go.

Hi,

Have not seen this profile ... Thank you.

But I did change the profile, I delete your transcoded files... and now does not appear in the subtitles option for enabling...

On your Seagate FreeAgent, when the video is playing, press the Tools or Options or Subtitles button on your remote control and see if you can turn on subtitles.

If no better, then please send us a set of logs and we'll take a look. Turn on logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Stream the video to your Seagate and when no subtitles appear, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

Sorry for the delay, joker_josue. We've been fixing several subtitle issues for Mezzmo v3.1. Now that Mezzmo v3.1 has been released, we will look into your issue now & respond shortly.

Hi Joker, thanks for the Log files. Mezzmo is definitely streaming external subtitles to your device. It is just a text (SRT) without any parameters passed to the device with the settings how to display the subtitles. So looks like it is your FreeAgent device that is actually producing the video with subtitles in the middle of the screen. One possibility is that aspect ratio set in your device and TV displaying this video do not match well. With settings like 16:9, 4:4, Fit or Scale it is possible that some parts of the video are cut off. Please check if there is any settings to allow video like 1280x720 to be displayed with the best fit.

Ok... Thanks!

I've checked all the settings of this equipment and everything ok.
If I use a pen, with the same video and the same subtitles directly at Free Agent, subtitles usually appear at the bottom of the screen.

That is, only when using Mezzmo is that the subtitles appear in the middle of the screen and not on the bottom.

Then only appear if subtitles use the profile "Brite-View CinemaTube" because if you use the profile "Seagate Free Agent", the subtitles do not appear.

I'll do some more tests, but there should be changes.
