What prevents FastForward from being available?

I am using DVDFAB to rip some Blu-ray and DVD's. I have tried MKV and M2TS. When I use DVDFab, I can't seem to use FastForward.

Any idea why?

If Mezzmo has to transcode the file to a different format so it can play on a device you won't be able to FastForward until the transcoding is complete.
