View Full Version : DVR-MS files no longer appearing in Smart Playlist

Just noticed today that DVR-MS files are no longer showing up in my Smart Playlist.

Example:

I have some recorded tv of NCIS in both WTV format and DVR-MS. I have a filter set up for file name contains NCIS. The WTV format appears in the playlist but the DVR-MS does not. I also noticed that on my IPAD under the folder the files are contained in the DVR-MS files are showing up as MP3 files and will not play saying content not on server.

Any suggestions?

It's best we see a set of logs to see what may be going wrong. Turn on logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and stop your Mezzmo server and exit your Mezzmo application using File/Exit menu item. Run Mezzmo again and start your Mezzmo server. Reproduce the problem you mention and once the wrong files are listed, then stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

Sending the files today.

Played with it a little more and observed the following:

If I make a smart playlist and say all files the dvr-ms files will appear but will not play on my Samsung tv or IPAD.
If I make a smart playlist and restrict it to video files the dvr-ms files do not appear.
If I make a smart playlist and restrict it to music files the dvr-ms file appear but will not play on the tv or IPAD.

Both the TV and IPAD think these files are MP3 files when I try to play them and I assume that is why they will not play. I think the issue lies in that Mezzmo also thinks they are music files.

Other things I have tried:

Upgraded to latest version of Mezzmo
Deleted Mezzmo DB and rebuilt library.
