Hello Paul,

I tried to use several Windows 8 PC's with an installed VLC as an DLNA player. In mezzmo I added the IP's of my Windows machines and chosed the VLC profile to them:

502

In VLC I only see the Mezzmo Servername (I named it Mediathek), but no audio or video playlists/files are shown:

503

Hi Hogi,

The last time I looked, VLC's DLNA implementation as a media player is a little poor - it can work sometimes but not other times. See this thread - http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/5558-VLC-client-profile.

As an alternative to VLC, you can use XBMC on your PCs. There is an 'XBMC' device profile that you should assign to your PCs listed in the Media Devices dialog for best performance.
