After upgrading to Mezzmo version 3.2.0.0., my samsung ED-E5500 stops abruptly the play of any video for no apparent reason and no longer displays the Mezzmo icon connection on its interface. I tried to disable the firewall and antivirus, but the problem repeats itself every so often (and with various different types of files) during their vision.
The problem resolves itself, after I search solutions on my pc, but without having changed any settings. I open the software and flip through the shared folders, I verify that the network is active, I verify that the Mezzmo service run correctly (sometimes you reboot it) ... and after a while my device starts to display the Mezzmo icon and I can review the folders of my videos.
My files are stored on an external shared HD (3TB) on my pc. Before the upgrading to the new version 3.2, my Samsung BD-E5500 did not give this problem.

Hi FritzGarda,

It's best we see a set of logs to see what's happening. Turn on logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Then reproduce the disconnect problem. Once it happens, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

I've also ran into this problem, after watching a TV show for 20-30mins it'll cut out. It also happens to movies. (I have a samsung E profile tv, and a samsung HTS profile bluray that this both happens to). I've sent in far too many logs, I'll let this guy handle this issue.

Only way around it so far was playing the video on my xbox 360.

Thank you for the answers. Excuse me if I did not answer right away but I did not receive notice from forum of your replies. Now I check on my forum account and I verify what has not yet activated.

I thank you for your the availability to check the logs but, having little time, I'll send you these later, after checking things.

Meanwhile, I uninstalled Kaspersky, given the enormous problems that is giving me also with other software, and installed MS Security Essentials. I entered in this AV all the exclusion options (folders, programs) and added in the windows firewall the permits for the Mezzmo service port, also as output.I'm also thinking about some routine update of Samsungm, that starts automatically and may compromise the streaming.

Regarding the use of the XBox 360, I've had devastating experience with this device. The instability of the network, the continuous and repeated reconfigurations, made me abandon the use of the XBox as DLNA device. I tested for a few months a NetGear NeoTV 550, but it was too spartan and without any auxiliary network service (for us Europeans!). No Youtube, no the many news apps, etc. I purchased this Samsung also because I solve a problem of space thank the replacing the DVD player.

Now I'll continue to test Mezzmo with my archive of 2.1 TB of video of all formats, and over the next few days see if repeat this bug.

Nothing to do:(. After I have disabling the firewall, the antivirus (MS), and any possible schedule activity in win7, the bug was happened again. I confirm the time indicated by cooltang; 20-30 minutes after I start the viewing for a avi file, the communication was cut out.

For a few minutes the Samsung device has not seen Mezzmo, then, finally, the icon of my DLNA server is reappeared.

Please reproduce this problem with logging turned on & we should see what is going wrong. Turn on logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Stream the video and after it stops suddenly after 20-30 minutes, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all your logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.
