Sony devices do not support displaying external subtitles or embedded subtitles when streaming your videos. This is a restriction in the firmware of Sony devices. This restriction applies to Sony Bravia TVs, Sony Playstation 3 (PS3), Sony BDP Blu-ray players, Sony HT home theater systems and Sony SMP network media players.

The only solution for displaying subtitles is to burn the subtitles into the video when streaming to your Sony device. Mezzmo does this automatically for you.

Mezzmo fully supports burning subtitles into your videos. All Sony device profiles included in Mezzmo have burning subtitles turned on by default so your subtitles will be burnt into your videos when you stream them to your Sony devices. You can customize the burnt subtitles as you wish - for example: subtitle font, color, size & location. All languages are supported.
