Hi

Is there a way of hiding folders from mezzmo that dont contain video/music/photo,etc. Reason is I usually just watch things on mezzmo that are in my downloads folder which also contains sub-folders of other things. But they all appear in mezzmo regardless of their contents. Just wondered if mezzmo could automatically ignore unrelated sub-folders.

Thanks

Mezzmo delivers the folder /playlist structure to your device as it appears in your Mezzmo application. So that's why you see all folders and playlists. There's a few ways to do what you want though:

You can delete any playlist that you don't want in your Mezzmo library. They are just playlists that we create for you when you first install Mezzmo. Just select the playlist you don't want and press the DEL key.
If you like to keep your playlists, but just hide them on your device, then you can exclude them from being delivered to your device using the Playlist Sharing Permissions dialog. See this FAQ (bottom post) for details - http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/6039-Tutorial-Parental-control-and-security-in-Mezzmo.

Hi

Thanks for the response but it wasnt really what I was looking for. What I would like is to share my downloads folder with mezzmo. This is where I download everything, ie tv programmes, software, etc. The problem is mezzmo picks up all the non-video folders
and displays them on my dlna device causing a huge mess of folders. Just wondering if there could be a way of automatically ignoring those folders that contain non-media files from the media server.

Also, there doesnt seem to be a way of deleting files/folders from your hd. It would be handy to be able to go through the recently watched playlist and delete the files from you hard drive rather than just from mezzmo.

Thanks

When you add a folder into Mezzmo, you can choose the types of files to add and list using the "File filter" edit box in the Folder Properties dialog. Right-click on your Downloads folder in the Mezzmo tree and click Properties. In the Properties dialog, click the Presets button and choose Videos. Now Mezzmo will only list video files for this folder.

Mezzmo never deletes or touches your media files. If you want to delete them after watching them, you will need to use Windows Explorer.

The other thing you could think about is to set you downloads folder to look like:
C:\Downloads
C:\Downloads\Games
C:\Downloads\Books
C:\Downloads\Utils
C:\Downloads\Apps
C:\Downloads\Videos
C:\Downloads\Music

You get the idea. Then only add the Videos and Music folders to Mezzmo. It will happily ignore everything else.
