Apologies if this has already been asked/answered. I did a search and didnt find an answer...

Is there way I can have mezzmo feed say the episode number to dlna devices along with the name...EG "Some Episode - 01" rather than just "Some Episode" (Where some episode is the name)

Thanks

Assuming the episode number is in the filename of the video file, you can set Mezzmo to use the file name instead of the title that it extracts from the metadata or file path of the file. See http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/6042-Tutorial-How-to-use-filenames-as-your-titles

No it isnt - I was referring to the meta data index. I thought there might be a way of getting mezzmo to feed the filename in with fields like:
%episode% - %title%

I have to admit, the use of variables does sound appealing. I don't really want the episode number in the title, but it would be nice to have it show up in, say, the description field. I use hoppers/joeys as my main dlna clients and they really only display a minimum amount of information about each video. The ability to shift data around from one field to another using variables could be very useful for some.

Thanks for the suggestion. Understand why it can be useful. We have a few ideas relating to display nice metadata to help browsing and choosing what video to play. We are working on this now.

Just an update - Mezzmo v3.4 now has TV series naming styles that you can select as your preferred style. For example, "S001 E003 <title>". See this FAQ for more details - http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/6337-Tutorial-How-to-set-the-titles-for-your-TV-series-videos.
