Ok so originally I installed it on my Proliant server that has Windows Server 2012 on it but received the same error that I am currently getting on the laptop when attempting to share out video files.

I just purchased the UN55F7100AFXZA 55 inch Samsung LED
Using the trial, most up to date version of Mezzmo - would rather get it working before I purchase :)

So basically I share out a single folder on the E drive of the server - I get error "Request cannot be completed. Media Play will be return to main screen" ---- Yes typo in Samsung's error message... sad huh?

Anyway. here is a print shot from RDP of my settings and such. Please let me know what I can do!

The TV is setup wirelessly, the Server is sitting on a wired network, wireless router is the Asus 66AC.

Thought I figured it out after i went and ate 3 Gala apples :D instead of Mezzmo > Video I went to Mezzmo > All Content. It showed the structure of my server perfectly :D

Adding my reply on how I did it for future help!

Hit source on remote - Mezzmo - "All content" It will navigate to the structure but now i cannot select the movies i see. For example Armageddon. Nope. I tried this on a ton of movies but the Mezzmo is catalogging atm. I will wait until its done. Anyone know? When I click the video file i see in the structure I get the generic samsung error above.

Edit* 8:56 EST - now when i perform same movements the files arent there anymore... "No stored files found" something not right?

Hi student,

Firstly, email us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com and we'll provide a new Samsung F-series device profile. We also have a patch that will stop the dreaded "Request cannot be completed. Media Play will be return to main screen" message.

Next, if your files are not getting listed, then that suggests an access permissions issue with Mezzmo server. See this FAQ to fix this - http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/4597-FAQ-Accessing-files-from-external-computers-and-NAS-drives-on-your-home-network

Thanks - we'll update the FAQ. You should be able to follow the Windows 8 or Windows Server 2008 to find the appropriate dialogs/windows to configure. If you are having problems, let us know and we'll help out.

Windows Server 2012 is certainly a supported platform for Mezzmo.

looking at the walk-through's server 2012 is different - but reading through it, this is for Mezzmo to access the server remotely correct? Mezzmo is on the server (c:) where the files are located (e:)

Also a small update. If i manually add folders with the video files I am able to get 1 which was the armageddon, but not the avatar. When i navigate down the E: or videos>E I see the structure but when i try and drill into them they give me that error message. Hope that helps

The FAQ is for files that are located on network drives (NAS drives or other computers) on your home network. If your files are located on an internal drive or a USB drive attached to the computer that has Mezzmo installed, then the FAQ does not apply.

If you are still getting an error message after applying the patch that we sent to you via email, then please email us a set of logs to support [at] conceiva [dot] com. Our email to you explains how to do this.

Update - If I share out all of the folder from root as opposed to the Drive it works somewhat, right now some files do not play. I have Avatar Extended 1080p SBS that just wont play, I muxed it in hopes that itll strip "headers" but that doesnt work? Anyone know why some files wont play?

Send us a set of logs when you try to play Avatar and we'll work out what is going wrong. Turn on logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Reproduce the problem playing Avatar and then stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.
