FLAC sounds worse than MP3

I'm using the LG BluRay (LPCM) profile with my LG BD650. For whatever erason, FLACs sound thinner and quieter than the same song played back in MP3. Is there a way to get a lossless transcode? Or can I transcode to a higher bitrate than what is being used by the profile?

Other devices, using the same files, do not exhibit this behavior.

The LG BluRay (LPCM) profile is transcoding your FLAC files to lossless LPCM. Post the FFmpeg information for a FLAC file. Right-click on the FLAC in Mezzmo and click 'Get FFmpeg Information'. Also, right-click on the video and click 'Properties'. On the Properties dialog, go to the Transcoding tab and you will see the transcoded files for the FLAC. Select the one for your LG Blu-ray and click 'Get FFmpeg Information'. Post that information here also.
