adding a password

sorry if this has been asked and answered...I just installed a dlna client app on my ipad and was able to connect wireless to my mezzmo. since it connected so easy and well now my evil side of...can anyone see my server and connect to it with my knowledge? is there a way to insert a password or just block access via the ip deny feature.
