View Full Version : Issues with playback on 2013 model LG 50LA6230

Hi All,

I have a 2013 model LG 6230 and am having some issues with playback of some mkv files. I keep getting "the file is invalid". It seems that I can pre-transcode the file to fix the issue but this is far from ideal. I was hoping to get away with only having to set the audio track which by the way is a seriously awesome feature.

I'm happy to provide any info required.

Let us know a few things:


The device profile assigned to your TV in Mezzmo. Go to the Media Devices dialog in Mezzmo to see this.
The FFmpeg information for the MKV that you cannot play. Right-click on the video in Mezzmo and click 'Get FFmpeg Information'.

Thanks for the information. We'll create a new LG 2013 TV device profile since it has different support to other models. I'll need one more thing from you. Please turn on logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Connect to Mezzmo from your LG TV and try to play an MKV. When it fails, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com. Once we get these logs, we'll email you a device profile to try.
