Once I upgraded to v3.3, all of my playlists which were manually created were stripped clean and there is nothign there anymore. I even backed these up in m3u format prior to this happening. I then attempt to import the m3u and nothing happens. Even if I export a smart playlist in m3u format then attempt to import it in as a regular playlist it does not work...

Anyone else having these issues?

When you import files from a playlist using "Add To Library" -> "Add Files From External Playlist", Mezzmo simply adds the files contained in the playlist into your Mezzmo library. It does not re-create the playlist.

If you wish to have a new playlist created like the external playlist, then you can use "Create Playlist" -> "Linked Playlist". This will create a new dynamic playlist in your Mezzmo library containing the files in the M3U/PLS/WPL/ZPL playlist that you are referencing. Whenever you make changes to the external playlist file on disk, then these changes will be automatically reflected in the link playlist in your Mezzmo library.

Let us know if this works. If not, we'll dig further to find the problem you are having.

It fixes about half of the problem.

I typically maintain the playlist in Mezzmo. It just so happens that I made a back-up. When my playlist that I created manually all went south on me when v3.3 installed, I attempted to import the list back in which did not work. The suggestion you have given me allows me to import the playlist but i have no way to modify it. If there is a way I can sever the ties to the linked playlist so I can maintain it in Mezzmo, that would be perfect. Anyway to do this?

Just found a way to fix this... I added the linked playlist, then copied the content of the playlist and pasted into a new playlist. Then deleted the linked playlist and kept the contents of the library.

All set now...

Glad you worked out a way to do it, Jason :) Thanks for posting back.
