Hi, i have this scenario:

I create a simple, blank, playlist called for example "Compilations"; Under the "Compilation" playlist i'll add a linked playlist call "Best Of Whatever" which is linked to a .m3u playlist which I've already made by adding external files (they are not in the Mezzmo indexed music folder). Still these files will be indexed by Mezzmo (they will appear in the "Album/Artist", "Artist" etc. playlists).

Any best practice or solution to avoid indexing when i don't want some files/playlist etc. to be indexed?

Thanks.

All files are added into your Mezzmo library & there's no way to avoid this. Playlists are used to display files form your Mezzmo library using certain search criteria. The playlists that you see are typically either normal playlists, smart playlists or active playlists. You can right-click on them and click Properties to customize them as you wish. Any reason you don't want your music files listed under the Music Artist, Album or Genre playlists?

Adding an artist with a track only in Album/Artist or Artist or whatever will make the navigation (using the player controls) a very long process. I have long compilations list, some of them with 200 artists with only one track per artist. I don't want to add that information in the library because these tracks (artists) make sense to me only in that compilation, and not like standalone artist. I really want to avoid this if possible.

Understand. At the moment, there's no way to avoid having artist appear in the Artist active playlist - except for removing the artist name for that track in the Properties dialog, in which case, Mezzmo will not add it since there's no artist. You could stop using the Artist playlist (i.e. delete it if you wish) and use the Album Artist playlist instead. For a compilation album, the album artist should be something like "Various". For a normal, single-artist album, the album artist will be the artist (e.g. Coldplay). This may match your needs better.
