View Full Version : mkv files won't play on Panasonic TX-P46G15B

Hi,
Just downloaded the TBYB version of Mezzmo today so I could (hopefully) watch mkv files streamed from my PC to my Panasonic TX-P46G15B.
I could already stream MPEG-2 files without a problem but having recently started using Handbrake it (Handbrake) seems to limit me to mp4 and mkv files.
Neither of these will normally play on my Panasonic (MPEG-s and DIVX only) and still refuse to play even when I'm using Mezzmo.
I can see Mezzmo on the DNLA interface and can click through all the folders and files but neither the mkv nor mp4 files will play.
The mkv files show as JPEGs. The mp4s come up as unrecognised file types.
The default media device that came up in Mezzmo is "Panasonic Viera (2011 Models)".
I have tried all other Viera options and "Viera (2009 Models)" allows me to play mkv files but makes an unholy mess of mp4's and MPEGs by giving me a black band to the left of the picture and a stretched image to the right.

Any suggestions as to how I can get all my files (but particularly MPEG-2s and mkv's) to play without a problem?

Max
