Hi,

I have a Folder Structure like so..

Videos
>Foreign Language Movies
>French Movies
>German Movies
>Movies
>TV Series

I managed to create a smart playlist called Films which only contains Movies by matching File path contains 'Movies'

What I'd also like is a playlist (smart or active?) that ONLY has Movie actors but lists all their films directly under their name, not sub-sorted by year (like the preset actors playlist). I'd also like to create the same for Movie Directors. I basically want the TV Series left out of these two playlists.

Can this be achieved? I thought I'd managed to place an active playlist inside my Films smart playlist but somehow it was still showing TV Series actors.

Any help gratefully received.

Hi Spoonfed,

Some answers:

1. If you want the exact same folder structure in Mezzmo as your folder structure on disk, then use the 'Add To Library' -> 'Add Folder' command. This will add the folders and files exactly as they appear on disk. In the Folder Properties dialog, you can select what type of files to display using the File Folder edit box (e.g. select Presets -> Video to display just your video files in these folders).

2. When you install Mezzmo, a default set of playlists are added to your Mezzmo library. You can edit these as you like or remove them. In your case, you could edit the Video -> Actor playlist. Right-click on Actor playlist and click Properties. In the Properties dialog, select the Year keyword from the list and delete it. Click OK and now your Actor playlist will list actors and the videos under each actor. You can do the same for the Director playlist.

3. In the current version of Mezzmo (v3.4.1.0), you cannot filter out TV series or movies from your active playlist. You will have this ability in the next major version of Mezzmo that we're working on right now. For the moment, you will need to create smart playlists and use the 'File path' attribute to filter out movies or TV series.
