I have been having an issue for sometime now where Mezzmo keeps loading randomly for no reason and the only way I can stop it is by pressing stop and play again. This might buy me 5 minutes or an hour its appears to be pot luck.

I have managed to isolate the problem down to my BT Home Hub. When I turn off the hub I can watch Mezzmo without interuption. The only problem is that this is my router and I have to make sure its switched on first so that all kit is allocated thier DCHP IP address on the network and then I can switch it off and everything runs OK.

I have the BT Home Hub Ver 3 connected to a 5 port switch via the gigabit port. Nothing else uses the router ports on the hub all connections are on the 5 port D-Link switch. I am using a Samsung ES8000 with Evolution kit connected via powerline LAN connectors into the D-link switch which is then connected to my PC.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and resolved it? Is there a setting on the HUB that Mezzmo doesn't like that I can change?

Please help as this is proving very annoying.

From your description, it seems your BT Home Hub router is broadcasting UPnP message across your home network from time-to-time. This may be affecting your TV streaming content from Mezzmo server. Check your BT Home Hub's settings and turn off anything related to UPnP. Save your changes and reboot your router. Try streaming now and see if that helps.

Paul,

I will give this a try this evening but I have a pretty good idea UPnP was already switched off in the BT Hub. I'll let you know how I get on. I may try switching it on and then off again and see what happens.

Thanks

If no improvement, then please email us a set of logs to support [at] conceiva [dot] com when this problem occurs. We may be able to see what is occurring on your home network at the time.

I have finally resolved the problem on my network. I upgraded my router to a BT HH4 which reduced the problem somewhat of the random loading issue. I then recently upgraded the router again to the HH5 and since then the problem has gone away. I can only assume that by shear brute force and performance that the new HH5 can deal with the network problem so fast that it does not effect the stream to the TV. I suspect that the problem still exists but is happily being dealt with by the HH5.

Thanks for all your help on this matter and keep up the great work.

PS When are we expecting the release of Mezzmo 4.
