This is related to my previous post.
The video I am trying to view is "In the Shadow of the Moon".
8_1 plays straight from the disc with AnyDVD. 8_2 to 8_4 do not. ffmpeg info shows the
"mpeg_decode_postinit() failure" message.

If I transfer the disc contents to HD using AnyDVD then 8_1, 8_2, and 8_3 play but 8_4 does not and still shows the "mpeg_decode_postinit() failure" message.

I get a similar response with a number of commercial DVDs.

Any chance fo a fix sometime? Happy to help in a any way.

This error message is telling us that FFmpeg cannot read the file (for some reason). All we can do is report the issue to the FFmpeg developers and hope they fix it one day. Sorry we cannot be of more help, but it is out of our control.

You could try using a different build of ffmpeg, just to see if it helps. I personally use these builds, as they are more optimized for multicore transcoding:

Just do a backup of ffmpeg.exe in your Mezzmo folder, and copy a build from this site.
