I would like to have separate my movies and TV series collection using smart playlist. For movies, I'd like to group it alphabetically. For TV series, I'd like to have it by title and then subgroup of season. How can I do that?

There's a few ways to do this:

If you already have your movies and TV shows organized in folders on your computer/NAS, then the simple way is to just add a folder for your movies - i.e. click 'Add To Library' -> 'Add folder' and choose the folder containing your movies (such as "M:\Videos\Movies"). In the Folder Properties dialog, give your folder a name like "Movies" and choose "Video" from the File Filter "Presets" button. You can also set the "Sort by" field in the Folder Properties dialog to sort your files as you wish (i.e. by title, season, episode, etc.). Add another folder for your TV shows.

Mezzmo does also include a "Series" active playlist that lists all the your TV shows by TV series name, season and episode order. That should list all your TV shows nicely for you.

You can also create a smart playlist of all your movies. Click 'Create Playlist' -> 'Smart Playlist'. In the Smart Playlist dialog, give your playlist a name like "Movies" and add a rule like:

[File path] [Starts with] [M:\Videos\Movies]
(where "M:\Videos\Movies" is the root path where all your movies are located)

Next, select the "Video files" radio button and set the "Sort by" field to "Title (ascending)". Click OK and you will have a playlist of all your movies sorted alphabetically.
