Every video I try to play that is greater than 1gb, starts stuttering about 10-15 seconds into it. But the same videos work perfectly when streamed out to XBMC. So it just seems like the transcoding isn't being done or something to downgrade the video enough for the DMP-BD87 to handle it.

Should I send logs?

When the file is playing on your device but is stuttering, go to the Transcoding pane in Mezzmo. You may see your file listed there. If it is marked red, then this tells you that transcoding on-the-fly is not fast enough for realtime playback for this file. In this case, it is best to pre-transcode the file before streaming it. See this FAQ for pre-transcoding files - http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/6025-Tutorial-Pre-transcoding-Files.

If the file is not marked red but it is still stuttering, then the video bitrate is possibly too high for your device to play or your home network (wired, wireless, powerline, etc.) to transmit. You can reduce the video bitrate as follows: Go to the Media Devices dialog and edit your device. On the Device Settings dialog, make sure the 'Connection' field is set to your type of home network (e.g. Ethernet (100Mbps)). This tells Mezzmo what to set the video bitrate to when transcoding. If the Connection field is set correctly and the file still stutters, then go to the Performance tab on the Device Settings dialog and reduce the Video bitrate slider to halfway. Then go to the Transcoding tab and delete your transcoded files and try streaming again. If it still stutters after that, then try reducing the Video bitrate slider further and delete your transcoded files and try streaming again.

Let us know how you go.
