I have some files, long time on the hard drive and previously shown in Mezzmo that no longer show. Some are .AVI, some .MKV and so on. They are on the drive in the folder, I have tried running Maintain Library with no results.

These all were visible and worked in previous versions of Mezzmo.

It's best we see a set of logs. Please turn on logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo application using File/Exit menu item. Run Mezzmo again and browse your Mezzmo library in Mezzmo application to look for your files. When you don't see them, exit Mezzmo application. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

Paul,

I sent you the crash logs as Mezzmo will not load long enough or show any libraries longer than a few seconds.

there has been zero changes on the hardware or other software, no update, new apps etc.

I uninstalled Mezzmo, rebooted, went into the registry and removed all traces of Mezzmo and rebooted. Went to a different computer, installed Mezzmo, attached my drive of movies and MP3 and now Mezzmo doesn't crash.

The libraries are present (what a change), BUT not one AVI, MKV, MP4 etc will play on my two WD Live Plus or my older WD Live box. Nothing plays on either of my Oppo players. They all play on Mezzmo utilizing the play function within Mezzmo.

I have installed Twonky on my original Mezzmo computer and Twonky is serving all my devices and transcoding (something Mezzmo hasn't been able to do).

Thoughts?

Hi Wilson,

Check the device profile in the Media Devices dialog. It should be set to 'WD TV Live Plus' and 'WD TV Live' respectively. Also check that transcoding is turned on in the Transcoding Settings dialog and the Device Settings dialog (Transcoding tab) for your device(s). Finally, if your drive is a mapped network drive (e.g. '\\NASDrive\' --> 'M:\'), then make sure that you have access permissions set - see this FAQ: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/4597-FAQ-Accessing-files-from-external-computers-and-NAS-drives-on-your-home-network.

If still no success, then it's best we see a set of logs. Turn on logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Try streaming some of your video files and when they fail, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all your logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

Paul,

Mezzmo shows the device profiles as WD Live Gen 1 and WD Live Plus as they should be and I have sent logs previously (many months ago) with no response. I will again turn on logging and stream a few items and send the logs, but I am not optimistic on resolution.

The drive that hold my media is on the computer running Mezzmo and is an internal 3TB Seagate Barracuda so there are no drive mappings.

Thanks, Wilson. We always reply to customer support inquiries within 24-48 hours, so it is very strange you did not hear from us. My only guess is that your email inquiry did not reach us. This can happen if you attach > 10MB files to your emails.

After we get your new logs, we will analyze them and report back to you via email. If you have not heard from us, please post back here and we'll look after you.

Paul.

No joy with the patch. No play and no transcoding on the WDs. The Oppo BDP-80 & BDP-93 works playing 80% of the files but is not getting Transcoding either now. Considering the box is a Windows 8.1, Dell 8700 with i5, 16 GB ram, 2 x 3 TB drives and does nothing besides Mezzmo it should be able to transcode easily.

Hi Wilson,

Please send us a new set of logs so we can see what's happening with the patch. After turning on logging, reproduce the problems you mention and then stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up your logs and send them to us for analysis.

Paul,

Sent and tried your solution with no success. I haven't heard back from my last e-mail...any suggestions after following your directions on turning transcoding off?

Hi Wilson,

It appears we're having a few email issues at the moment. We're fixing the problems now. I'll report back after we have fixed them and then I'll get you to re-send your email to make sure we have it.

Hi Paul,

resent the response as requested. Basically I have tried with pre-transcoding on, pre-transcoding off, transcoding on and transcoding off. I have used the default/recommended format in the transcoding settings.

No luck yet.
