WDTV Live and Metadata

Can a WDTV live box receive all the metadata from Mezzmo or does it only pick up the artwork?

My one is picking up the artwork but I am not getting any metadata info such as genre, description, actors, director etc? Is this a short coming of the WD TV box as I know Mezzmo sends out the info? Or is there a setting I am missing somewhere?

Mezzmo always delivers all text metadata (genre, description, actors, etc.) to your devices. It's then up to your device to display it or not. Unfortunately, WD TV media players don't display much text metadata when browsing files. Hopefully, WD will add this in a firmware update.
