Am really impressed and satisfied with Mezzmo, kudos to the team behind it.

Just some feedback and wishes from a new user:
- Installing on Win8.1 without right-clicking and running the setup as Administrator caused the App to constantly crash, despite the user account being part of the admin-group. Instructions should be clearer there.

- Default-Option has the App downloading metadata from the Inet, but with a large collection of music files and not so great Inet-Connection the App would sometimes freeze (timeouts?) - IMO better would be off and let the user decide if he wants to enable this.

- Streaming the content of my PC-Desktop plus Audio to the TV would be a really great addition. VCL & TVersity apparently can do that but I'd hate to have to many tools installed...

- I'd like to have a screensaver option for when I pause video streams (just a black screen would be OK), so I don't have to turn of the display when being away for a couple minutes.

- I have a new Sony Bravia TV (KDL-46W905A) and wonder if the profiles cover the 2013 models (see codec list here (http://pdf.crse.com/manuals/13HG900111/DE/codeclist.html#5)).

Regards

Many thanks for the feedback. It is really appreciated.

Some comments/answers:

We'll test installing under non-admin for Win 8.1 and fix the crashing issues.
You can turn off getting metadata from the internet in the Metadata Retrieval Settings dialog (go to Options dialog - Retreiving Metadata page to see this).
Several users has also asked for desktop streaming and it is on our development task list for a future version.
The screensaver is a feature of your DLNA device. When you pause playing a video on your device, Mezzmo server is no longer delivering any content to your device and your device is controlling all on-screen features.
Start by using the 'Sony Bravia KDL (2012 Models)' device profile. Also, email us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com and we'll provide a new Sony Bravia 2013 models device profile. In your email please include a set of logs. Turn on logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Connect to Mezzmo from your TV and browse a few playlists/folders and play a few files. Then stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and email them to us.
