I have decided to trial Mezzmo, so far it seems it may fit my needs....I can play media beautifully through my PS3 and other devices on my network via DLNA, but I recently bought a Sharp 70UD1U TV and it does not seem capable of seeing the media. When I browse to the folder containing my media, it says "No data available." on the TV.

Some quick research leads me to believe a sort of profile needs to be created for Mezzmo so it knows how to serve the content to the TV in a way that I can browse and play the content through the TV.

Is that anywhere close to what needs to be done? If so, how can I assist in getting this profile created and how can I add it to my Mezzmo installation?

As a first step, please try the 'Sharp Aquos (2012 models)' device profile. Go to the Media Devices dialog in Mezzmo to change the device profile for a device. Hopefully that should get you browsing and playing some video, music and photos.

Next, we can create a specific device profile for this Aquos series. We'll need a few things:

A set of logs. Turn on logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Connect to Mezzmo from your TV and brwose some folders/playlist and try to play a few files. Stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs.
A list of the video formats, music formats, photo formats and subtitle formats that your TV supports. The more detailed information you can gather, the better the device profile will be. Check your TV's manual or Sharp web site.

Email all information to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com and we'll send you a device profile to try.
