I have the latest version of download studio (6.0.5.0) but I am still unable to download youtube videos. When I right-click on the video itself I have no option to download. When I right-click on the webpage and select "download video with downloadstudio" it is unable to detect the video, instead it attempts to download a .html file.

Please help, the rest of the program is great

Also note I have Windows 7 64bit, the problems addressed are on the 32bit version of IE8

Downloading from YouTube with DownloadStudio requires the youtube url containing the video to be passed to DownloadStudio, so if you are downloading a video from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkzbU6iCdRc&feature=popular you will need to add a job to download http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkzbU6iCdRc&feature=popular. This can be accomplished using the right-click menu on the page 'Download Video Using DownloadStudio...' or the toolbar button 'Download->Video...'. Downloading youtube videos that are embedded in other sites is not directly possible, however if you attempt to download a video and it fails then Url Sniffer will be launched to try and find the video for you to download.

Could you please provide the url for the page where you are trying to download the video?

The videos I try to download are from the youtube website itself, trying the 'Download Video Using DownloadStudio...' methods leads to the program attemptng to download a html file

It is possible that you are using an invalid cookie, try clearing out your cookies from IE and try to download the video again.

Tried cleaning out the cookies, but I am still having trouble with youtube videos. I have uploaded and attached my settings for IE intergration, and download settings:

It is not only youtube videos now, downloadstudio is not capturing any download from IE. I am using IE8 32 bit version on a 64bit OS (Windows 7).

The option you have highlighted in your second screenshot, "Auto detect and download flash files from popular video sites", must be checked in order for DownloadStudio to download video files from YouTube, otherwise you just get html pages.
To fix the issue with DownloadStudio not capturing any download from IE, try unchecking all of the settings in Options->Web Browser Integration->Internet Explorer, click 'Ok' to close the options and apply the settings then go back to Options->Web Browser Integration->Internet Explorer and select the settings you want. Click 'Ok' to close the options again and apply the settings.

I just tried checking the box, still unable to recognise the video. This is the main reason why i have a download manager

What is the 'Type' displayed as when you add a YouTube url, is it 'Video'?

Can you please provide us with the job conversation from one of your YouTube downloads so that we can have a better idea of what is going wrong?

Could you also try adding a job in DownloadStudio for http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9AlJ_sQORY&feature=featured to see if it downloads the video?
