Dear Conceiva,

is it possible to activate the subtitles in a MKV container in the Mezzmo software or the ffmpeg.exe? Now i've got serveral MKV movies with subtitles within it, only the SRT's are not avaible yet or are not in sync with the movie. I've tried every knob on the remote or setup controls of the TV but i don't get shown any subtitles within the container. Perhaps there's a way to activate the stream of the container? I also tried to force the stream within in MKV container with no result (i've used mkvtoolnix)
I'm using Mezzmo V2.1.9.0

Also i've noticed some diverence between Samsung PC share manager and Mezzmo:
- No resume functions are avaible on the TV with Mezzmo ...perhaps an idee
- Within the folders of the TV you must double choose. In the TV there's already a structure for Movies Music and Photo's. When you choose any you get to see the folders by Mezzmo , Music, Movies and Photo's...maybe also worthy to look at.
-Also the mezzmomediaserver stays quit a while at 50% in the taskmanager(+/- 1 hour), while i'm not using it to stream anything.

If Mezzmo streams the MKV to your device without transcoding it, then the complete MKV file is streamed without any modification - including the subtitle channels within it. So, if your device does support MKV files and can read the subtitle channels within the MKV, then you may be able to choose/play them with your TV's remote. It will be up to your DLNA device. I am not sure if your Samung TV model can read MKV subtitle channels. Perhaps another Mezzmo+Samsung TV owner can help with this knowledge?

Thanks for the feedback on the other issues. We'll look into them for the upcoming release.

Timmytubby, I have the LE40C650 and also the BD-C5500 and from my tests i've found that Samsung kit doesn't support all the container contents in MKV files.
I too have several MKV files with subtitles, none of them show subs on my TV, however Samsung TVs do support SRT files, and Mezzmo will pass these on if requested over DLNA. The only requirement is that the filenames have to be the same. i.e. my-movie-1.mkv and my-movie-1.srt

I use mkvextractgui to pull out the srt files, it take about 5-10 mins so big hassle.

Lastly re your comment about folder structure, you can move your video files up 1 in the Mezzmo library to the root area and your TV will display them as soon as you select 'videos' in the Media section, however most users want a basic folder structure.

Hope this helps.

Just an update on the "double" Video/Music/Photos folder structure and Samsung TVs. We have improved our Samsung TV support so that selecting Video on the Samsung TV will now go directly to the Video folder/playlist in Mezzmo. Same goes for Music and Photos. This will be included in the upcoming release of Mezzmo.
