Playing .x265 encoded MKV

Hi,

I'm trying to play an MKV using the newer x265 encoding (1080p, DTS-HD 7.1), but Mezzmo doesn't recognize it as a video file. My Sony blu-ray obviously won't accept it in it's native format. I've tried pre-transcoding it, but the only format Mezzmo allows me to select is s16be Music format. VLC plays it fine (which isn't surprising since it plays everything).

Does anyone know a way to convert/stream this file?

Please post the FFmpeg information for the video. Right-click on the video in Mezzmo and click 'Get FFmpeg information'.

Thanks for the information. The version of ffmpeg.exe contained in Mezzmo v3.4.4.0 does not support the h.265 video codec, but the new upcoming Mezzmo v4.0 includes the latest ffmpeg.exe and this has support for the h.265 video codec. Mezzmo v4.0 will be released later this month and is a free upgrade for all registered users.
