All movies have metadata by XBMC, , well I use https://mediacompanion.codeplex.com/ for this..

All the nfo and tbn are already on the computer...

In the settings I disabled everything for metadata extraction except the XBMC checkbox.

To add 400 Movies takes roughly 6 hours. XBMC, Plex, TVersity, etc use 2 or 3 Minutes to add this amount of local data.
I now delete all db files.. everything is empty in the program..
I now add 400 DIFFERENT movies.. takes roughly 6 hours again... as expected..

Now I add the first 400 Movies to them.. it now takes 12 hours !! Why?? Well, obviously 6+6 = 12.., but why would the updating metadata
do the first 400 again?? I selected the option only update new files..

Now I add anouther 400 Movies.. 18 hours!!! ...
Now I add 1 new movie.. 18hours + 10minutes..
ehem.. so each new movie EVERYTHING is scanned again and again`?? Even with the option NOT to scan everything but only new files..

even if fixed, why does it takes so many hours for local metadata...

so, many things are wrong with this software performance wise..

It's the best media server on the market, and I tested them all.. but on the performance you really should fix some major issues here.

Thanks for the feedback & testing results. I agree - something is not right. It certainly should not take so long, so we'll fix that immediately. Please email us a few of your NFO & TBN files to support [at] conceiva [dot] com. Also take a screenshot of each tab in the Metadata Retrieval Settings dialog so we know your settings and we can replicate the problem here.

The current 2 issues I'm having.. well three now, but only reported 2 thus far because the 3rd issue I wasn't sure if I could find a work around by different settings..

But today I'm flying abroad, tomorrow I'll have a few hours and I'll make a very detailed report of all 3 issues with screenshots and nfo examples...

what's the max email size? So in case the email gets too big, I can split it up.. or use dropbox with public links for you to download..

oh and btw, you really need to setup a mezzmopedia... analog to wikipedia.. personally I think it's better then a FAQ/tutorial on forums, although I must agree setting
up proper "mezzmopedia" pages will use a lot of initial time.. but for the users eventually it'll be better because you can much better organize detailed instructions

Sorry for the late reply. Max email size is 10MB. Or you can upload to dropbox, mega.co.nz, etc. and email the download link to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

Hi Paul, yesterday I send an email with links to the dropbox files. I didn't get a confirmation the email arrived properly. Could you check for me the email arrived properly.
In total there are 4 different issues/bugs/changes I've found during my experiments with mezzo.

Thank you for your time!
