Hi There!

I have noticed that playing 720P videos either transcoded or not, via the PS3 results in pixelation and screen corruption (Significant) after rewinding and fast forwarding. Pause and then unpause will clear it temporarily.

I am running Mezzmo 3.4.4

The PS3 is connected to the Mezzmo Server via GB Ethernet.

What can I do to resolve this issue please?

My guess is the video codec in the original video may either be badly encoded or your PS3 is having troubles decoding it. Try this: Right-click on the video in Mezzmo and click 'Pre-transcode Files'. Select your device and click 'Choose Formats'. On the Pre-trancode Formats dialog, select the bolded format and click 'Force full transcode of all channels' checkbox. Click OK and wait until the file is fully transcoded. Try streaming the video now.

We used our PS3 and Mezzmo in the living room for a couple of years.
We had sporadic problems such as stuttering, sync issues, pixelation, freezing, unsupported data, and etc, mostly with mkv and some MP4 files.
There have never been any problems upstairs with the WD TV Live Streaming Media Players, even whilst streaming to both bedrooms.

I gave up on the PS3, and recently purchased a new LG blu-ray player for the living room.
We've had zero issues, and I say good riddance.
My conclusion is that the PS3 was not designed to be a media center, but a game console.
It's performance in the latter was mediocre at best.
