what is the best setting for download studio for use on windows 8 and hi speed internet Lan(dsl 512kbps unlimited traffic)best connection and split setting for this speed?

The default settings are recommended - 20 internet connections and 10 splits per file download. If you find a site that does not like this (e.g. some sites do restrict you to one connection), then you can create a Site Rule for this web site in the Options dialog (Site Rules page) that will tell DownloadStudio to limit downloading to that number of connections or splits.
