Purchased the optional licenses for MPEG-2 and VC-1 decoding on my RaspPi and was wondering how to modify the existing XBMC profile so that MPEG-2 and VC-1 aren't transcoded automatically.

Thanks.

An easy way is to go into the Device Manager, then edit the device and click on the Transcoding Tab and turn off transcoding for this device. That will turn off all transcoding, if that is what you are looking for.

If you want, we can tweak a device profile for you as well.

Turning off transcoding works well for about 90% of my media, but still leaves the video portion of .flv files unplayable as well as many videos taken with mobile devices like .3gp.

Email us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com and we'll provide an updated device profile. In your email, list the formats you want supported (or not supported) when transcoding is turned on.
