Using Mezzmo 2.1.9.0 to stream to a Samsung ln40c650 via wired Ethenet (100mbps). When trying to stream .mts file it plays for 10-15 seconds, pauses, and starts again from where it left off. During the pause the TV shows "Preparing to play". Not sure if it is rebuffering during that time. Not transcoding that I can tell, Network utilization and CPU usage very low.

Also, when trying to stream m4v files TV displays "File Type Not Supported Message". Againg, Mezzmo does not seem to be trying to transcode.

Thanks for your help.

Please send a message to support (at) conceiva (dot) com for a patched version that should fix the m4v issue and may help with the mts file as well. For the .mts file, please post or send your FFmpeg information as well (in Mezzmo right-click on the file and use the "Get FFmpeg Information" command).

That file should not be transcoded if you are using the "Samsung C" device profile. Can you please send a message to support (at) conceiva (dot) com and we'll investigate this.

have the same issue..serving up mts files taken from a Canon HD camera. All wired network streaming from a Windows XP Pro based server to a laptop running WMP on Windows 7.
Files are visible/accessible in WMP library. Attempting to play them claims it is an unsupported type and will not play.
go back and look at "Properties" in Mezzo browser. i.e have a folder with 0000.MTS claimed to be 0000 in Mezzo browser and WMP library browser. *Manually" change name in Mezzo properties Window to "0000.MTS".. go back to WMP on laptop.. .now shows up with correct extension and will play.!
Real objective is to get/force Mezzmo to transcode as laptop/netbook does not have enough graphics power..attempt to set transcode settings for attatched laptop device
but no success.

By default our WMP does not transcode and leaves it up to the machine that has WMP installed on it to have the proper codecs to play served files. We're working on changing that and possibly transcoding videos to a format that will make WMP always happy. Please send a message to support (at) conceiva (dot) com if you'd like an updated device profile once it's ready.
